Lisa Kay Adam

After early retirement from the museum profession, Lisa Kay Adam has enjoyed becoming a jack-of-all-trades, spending her time learning to draw and paint, writing, volunteering at nature parks, gardening, trying new vegetarian recipes, and taking care of animals. She has published poems and essays in various journals, including Nature Conservancy Magazine and The Christian Science Monitor. In 2018 she published a full-length collection of poetry entitled "xuāi: mission, house, village, town" that incorporates elements of an extinct, indigenous language from the region where she lives, the lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas.
